The Role
Are you ready to elevate your career in cybersecurity and take on a challenging, impactful role? Kyndryl has an exciting opportunity for you as a SOC Level 3 Analyst. Because here, you'll be trusted as the senior technical authority in our 24x7 SOC. You'll step in when things matter most-leading high-stakes incident response, performing deep-dive investigations, and evolving how we detect, contain, and mitigate cyber threats across global environments. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, regulators, and leadership to ensure threats are not just handled-they're understood and prevented from returning.

What You'll Really Be Doing
Here are the three core areas where you'll be making your mark:
- Lead Major Incident Response : You'll be the key decision-maker during critical incidents-leading containment, eradication, and recovery efforts. From malware outbreaks to insider threats and zero-day vulnerabilities, you'll drive the full incident lifecycle and coordinate with stakeholders across infrastructure, legal, risk, and executive leadership.
- Hunt and Investigate Advanced Threats : You'll proactively hunt for signs of compromise across logs, memory, endpoints, and networks-before alerts are even triggered. Using threat intelligence and attacker TTPs, you'll piece together complex attack paths and deliver post-incident improvements that make us stronger every time.
- Engineer Better Detection : You won't just respond to alerts-you'll help create the ones that matter. You'll contribute to detection use cases, threat modeling, and telemetry validation across hybrid environments. Your insights will guide improvements to our SIEM, SOAR, and monitoring tools.

Who You Are

Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat hunting, or digital forensics.
- Strong understanding of attacker techniques, malware behavior, and network-based attack vectors.
- Deep experience with event correlation, anomaly detection, endpoint investigation, and identity misuse.
- Skilled in incident reconstruction using logs, memory, file system artifacts, and lateral movement paths.
- Ability to manage crisis scenarios and communicate clearly with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance.
- Formal training or experience in digital forensics, reverse engineering, or offensive security.
- Hands-on participation in red team/blue team exercises or penetration testing engagements.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, structured threat analysis methods, and incident classification models.
- Advanced-level certifications in incident response, threat hunting, or digital forensics are a strong advantage.
- Leadership presence and calm decision-making during critical incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team-oriented with a mentoring mindset and commitment to continual improvement.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving under pressure.
