Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement modernization strategies for mainframe applications
• Utilize tools and technologies such as AWS Mainframe Modernization service, Micro Focus™, and other cloud-native services to re-platform mainframe applications
• Conduct assessments and workshops to understand customer requirements and provide tailored modernization solutions
• Automate the provisioning and management of AWS mainframe modernization environments
• Support the integration of mainframe applications with AWS technologies
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers throughout the modernization process

Who You Are

You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in application development and deployment for Mainframe or IBMi
• 8+ years in application migration and modernization
• 8+ years in application architecture, middleware and data experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Python and Java
• Experience with AWS Mainframe Modernization service, Azure Skytap, Arcad Software suite, and/or other cloud-native services
• Strong understanding of mainframe technologies and architectures
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with past experience in assisting stakeholders in quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies
• English language

Preferred Skills and Experience

• French language
• AWS certification or equivalent cloud certification
• Experience with modernization technologies from Micro Focus™, Astadia, Bluage, Cast, RainCode
• Knowledge of mainframe security practices and tools
