The Role

Your role goes beyond traditional engineering, as you'll have the opportunity to analyze business needs, tackle complex problems, and provide strategic advice and designs. You'll be involved in every stage of the software lifecycle, from building and testing to deploying changes and maintaining robust systems.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Troubleshooting and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, potentially escalating to higher levels if necessary.

Technical Support: Provide expert guidance and direction to lower-level support teams and end-users.

System Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and performance of storage systems, including Firmware upgrades and configuration changes.

Capacity Planning: Assist in planning and managing storage capacity to meet current and future needs.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor storage system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.

Documentation: Expert knowledge on documentation of storage systems and procedures includes Architecture Diagram, HLD and LLD document.

Collaboration: Work with other IT teams (servers, networks, applications) to ensure seamless integration of storage solutions.

Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for severity 1 issues.

Technology Assessment: Strong knowledge on performing Technical Health Assessment on Storage and SAN devices as per the best practices

SLA Management: Monitor and maintain SLA requirements by the team.

Security: Apply patches and upgrade the Firmware to maintain security levels.

Customer Satisfaction: Improve and maintain customer and employee satisfaction through quality project work.

Required Skills and Experience

10+ years of total IT experience.

Deep Knowledge of Storage Technologies (IBM, HP, DELL EMC, Hitachi and NetApp)

Technical Support Experience: Proven experience in providing technical support and guidance.

Operating System Knowledge: Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows) and their interaction with storage systems.

Storage Administration: Experience administering and managing storage systems, including NetApp ONTAP, EMC, HP, IBM, Hitachi or other storage platforms.

Scripting and Automation: Ability to create scripts and automate tasks for improved efficiency.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Security Best Practices: Familiarity with storage security best practices and principles to implement Technical specifications on Storages.

Preferred Skills and Experience

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other highly technical, scientific discipline.
