The Role

The Senior Associate, Accounts Payable will be responsible for executing and overseeing key processes within the accounts payable cycle across multiple countries in the region. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and a solid understanding of compliance with accounting and tax regulations. The position plays a critical role in resolving vendor discrepancies, supporting collaboration across internal teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payment process efficiency

Key Responsabilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process across multiple countries, from invoice reception to supplier payment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Prepare, record, and validate invoices, including handling complex operational and technical scenarios, while maintaining accurate documentation aligned with company retention policies.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and serve as a liaison for issue resolution, fostering effective communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform regular analysis and reporting of accounts payable activities, supporting internal and external audits with required documentation and insights.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles, local tax regulations, and corporate compliance standards across all payable operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams to streamline processes, support regional execution, and adapt to local requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying problem-solving and interpersonal skills to enhance operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of direct and indirect taxes is desirable
  • Technical proficiency in financial systems and tools used for invoice and payment processing. (SAP, Excel, Ariba is desirable)
  • Intermediate to advanced English (evaluated during the interview process)
