The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement complex PL/SQL solutions for enterprise applications.
- Design and optimize stored procedures, triggers, packages, and functions.
- Lead database design efforts including schema modeling, normalization, and indexing strategies.
- Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to align database logic with business requirements.
- Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management for large-scale Oracle environments.
- Support application migration projects by refactoring legacy PL/SQL code and integrating with modern platforms.
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and documentation protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural reviews and code audits.
- Define Data migration strategy from legacy databases to cloud bases SAAS offerings

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development and architecture.
- Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c or later, including advanced PL/SQL features.
- Proven experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Familiarity with application migration strategies and modernization tools.
- Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and batch processing.
- Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and high availability.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of No SQL databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Data migration.
- Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms, or Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS) and hybrid architectures.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
- Certifications in Oracle Database or related technologies.
