The Role

Platform Engineer will be part of a team in Kyndryl at all experience levels on multiple Technologies and play a key role in designing and maintaining software platforms solutions for our customers.

Here's a breakdown of what a Platform Engineer does:

  • Contributes to the overall product suite architecture & design
  • Participates in the design and development of core components and critical functionality
  • Manages configurations across various environments, ensuring applications run smoothly

  • Develops software and contribute to the evolution and refinement of the development process
  • Leads system administration tasks
  • Works closely with our team in a global context. Collaborate on dev ops and quality assurance
  • Proactively monitors and improves performances, by implementing observability tools, identifying issues early, and providing resolutions before they impact service
  • Advocates for modern tools and automation: act as champions for CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automate provisioning and configuration management, make development more efficient
  • Ensures developers can easily manage their services and infrastructure, reducing bottlenecks, and boosting productivity
  • Ensures standardization, scalability and adherence to best practices
  • Encourages collaboration, both internally and externally: work with outside vendors on systems integration projects
  • Implements and enforce security best practices and compliance standards

Who You Are

  • Minimum 4+ years of expertise in programming and automation (pyhton, C#, .NET, YAML, Ansible, jenkins, Terraform) preferably in a managed services and international environment.
  • Proven experience with RH operating systems and/or SQL databases.
  • Strong design and debugging skills.
  • Ability to decipher API's and payloads and inform system integration.
  • Experience with REST APIs, XML, JSON for integration, management, and data acquisition
  • Ability to write clear, concise, correct technical material.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively internally and externally to the company.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or other related fields
  • fluent in English
