The Role
Role Overview
As a Network Services Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and high-performance network infrastructure that supports Banco Sabadell's banking operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service continuity, compliance, and innovation in network delivery.

- Architect and deploy LAN/WAN solutions tailored to banking operational needs.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure optimal performance.

- Monitor network health and proactively resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with internal squads and banking technical office during migrations and upgrades (e.g., SDE environment transitions). Interlock wtih the different network and communication teams, SDWAN.
- Implement network security protocols aligned with GDPR and Banking internal standards.
- Support managed firewall operations and ensure secure data transmission.
- Enable secure cloud connectivity and support hybrid environments using SDN technologies (e.g., Cisco ACI, NSX).
- Participate in cloud migration projects and ensure seamless integration with legacy systems.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as Gigamon platform deployment, DNS infrastructure renewal, and proxy upgrades.
- Provide technical input for RFPs and client escalations, ensuring alignment with service-level agreements.
- Maintain accurate records of network configurations, interventions, and performance metrics.
- Prepare service-level reports and contribute to risk and contingency planning
- Work closely with Banking, IT and security teams to align on priorities.
- Participate in mandatory client-requested training (e.g., Gigamon certification) to maintain service continuity.
Who You Are
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 5+ years of experience focused on network support, configuration, and implementation
Technical Expertise Areas
- Routing & Switching (Cisco, Juniper)
- DNS/DHCP (Infoblox)
- Load Balancing (F5 BigIP, A10 Networks)
- Firewalling (Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint)
- SDN (Cisco ACI, NSX)
- Proxy Solutions (Symantec Broadcom, Fortinet)
- SDWAN - ARUBA
- Forescouts
Plus Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) deployment and data center experience
• Experience with design and implementing Software Defined Network (SDN) and large complex networks
• Experience with protocols and technologies such as, BDP, OSPF, MP-FBP EVPN, VXLAN, or VP
