The Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Software Defined Networks (SDN) solutions based on Linux and experience with VMware NSX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our SDN infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, SDN technologies, and virtualization.

  • Design and deploy Software Defined Network - SDN solutions using VMware NSX and Open-Source solutions.
  • Configure and install various network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, etc.)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Troubleshoot network issues and outages
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to manage network security
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users
  • Spanish native language required, Customers support in spanish.
  • Presence in Madrid is required to visit the customer in person.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Software Defined Network technologies base on VMware NSX
  • Hands-on experience with Linux Open Source Network like (Frr, Quaga, Strongswan, Wireguard, HAProxy, IPtables)
  • Good understanding of routing and switching protocols such as (BGP, OSPF, RIP, STP, VPC)
  • Programming and basic skills on Python, PowerShell, Bash, as well as orchestration tools like Ansible.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant certifications on network Vendors like VMWare, Cisco, Juniper, and Cloud providers like AWS, Azure,are a plus
