The Role

As a Lead Data Center Security, you will provide one, or a combination of disciplines responsible for supporting components of the organization's Corporate Security program including physical security, emergency planning, data privacy, information protection, and incident management. The role aids management in protecting people, property, and information. The physical security element ensures a safe and secure environment for people and property through several measures.

You will conduct risk analysis of proposed and existing company sites and examine internal and external threats to aid management in determining where to situate and what, if any, additional security measures are warranted for a given site. The Data Privacy and information protection element ensures a safe and secure system environment for client information as well as the organization's information. May also play a role in the dissemination of Security educational materials. Develop global security policies and procedures.

This position will be responsible for supporting various components of the Kyndryl Security program and must have a strong background in the fundamental security processes of Physical Security.

Essential Skills, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support both internal and external / client audit activity as it relates to Corporate Security Programs.
  • Responsible for overseeing all security operations and projects, addressing high risks that potentially impact Kyndryl.
  • Provides security systems technology support with regards to the installation and maintenance of security equipment, technologies, and tools.
  • Fosters security vendor relationships to ensure effective and efficient supplier performance results.
  • Workload involved in DC requires but is not limited to Annual CBN validation, Audit Interface (very much solicited) and Quarterly access revalidation, all this being performed by someone outside our organization, with no oversight.
  • The Security Lead will be responsible for serving as the key point of contact for all security related issues at Kyndryl's assigned US locations.
  • The Security Lead will be responsible for overseeing all security operations, addressing risks that potentially impact Kyndryl, overseeing all aspects of physical security and ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Position requires strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to translate action plans into concrete results
  • Performing lifecycle management of permanent and temporary access authorization devices (e.g., tokens and badges)
  • Documenting all processes and procedures (including the controlled visitor process, access authorization, quarterly reviews for changes to access lists, access revalidations of continued business need, all required and scheduled inspections and tests, required annual security compliance assessments and reviews, review of definition and validation of ownership of areas)
  • Developing and maintaining physical security guidelines and rules documentation (e.g., standardized notices and awareness documentation)
  • Maintaining an on-boarding and off-boarding process with respect to physical security access

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Data Center security or physical Security.
  • Knowledgeable with Data Center Standards
  • Experienced with electronic security systems.
  • Ability work onsite as needed and to travel up to 25% within the Virginia area.
  • Must be prepared to work standard Monday - Friday day shift and flexibility for after hours or weekend support as needed.
  • Continued learning to stay abreast of security trends and best practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 with advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in standards or certifications in ISO27001, IRS PUB1075, SOC1, SOC2, PCI, SSAE18 beneficial.
  • Proficient with Power BI.
  • Experienced with Access Control platforms and CCTV systems (Amag, CCTV Genetec) and Morse keywatcher.

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $77,040 to $146,640 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $84,840 to $175,800

Colorado: $77,040 to $146,640

New York City: $92,520 to $175,800

Washington: $84,840 to $161,160

Washington DC: $84,840 to $161,160

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
