The Role

We are seeking an experienced Epic Application Managed Services Advisor to lead and oversee the managed services team responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of Epic applications for our healthcare clients. This role will ensure high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement to meet the needs of healthcare clients.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Epic systems, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional managed services. The Epic AMS Advisor will be working with sales to solution AMS opportunities, overseeing delivery, and ensuring that the team's offerings are aligned to our clients' demand.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managed Services Oversight: Lead the day-to-day operations of the Epic Application Managed Services team, ensuring timely issue resolution, performance optimization, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies for service delivery, operational improvements, and resource allocation to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment with their business and clinical objectives.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Monitor and manage incident resolution processes, identifying root causes and implementing proactive measures to prevent recurring issues.
  • Change Management & Upgrades: Oversee Epic application team involvement as it relates to version upgrades, SU/RA installs, and enhancements, coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure all managed services operations comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.), internal security policies, and Epic best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to assess system performance, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop a team of Epic analysts and support professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Vendor Management: Work closely with Epic, IT vendors, and third-party service providers to enhance service delivery and resolve complex issues.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Epic application support, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience managing Epic systems within a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of managed services frameworks, ITIL principles, and healthcare IT operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Hands-on expertise in Epic systems, troubleshooting, and application optimization.
  • Familiarity with integration engines (e.g., Cloverleaf, Mirth, Rhapsody) and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based hosting environments and security best practices in healthcare IT.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Certifications: Epic certification in at least one module (e.g., EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient, Resolute, or other relevant areas) is required. ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $134,160 to $254,880 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different appliable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $147,600 to $305,880

Colorado: $134,160 to $254,880

New York City: $161,040 to $305,880

Washington: $147,600 to $280,320

Washington DC: $147,600 to $280,320

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, vision and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
