The Role

We're seeking a Director to lead Microsoft Global Alliance Business Development for Cloud Architecture-someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, partnerships, and transformation. In this role, you'll shape and execute co-selling strategies that deliver measurable impact for Fortune 500 clients, leveraging your deep expertise in Microsoft Cloud, generative AI, application frameworks, and developer ecosystems. You'll collaborate across Microsoft's corporate, partner, and customer organizations to craft differentiated go-to-market value, while navigating cultural nuances in global markets. Essential Skills, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strategic relationships with Microsoft, both business and technical, that help our partnership generate new opportunities by combining Kyndryl's services with Microsoft Cloud technology
  • Engage with account and consulting teams across Kyndryl's 60+ countries, regional alliance teams, sales, solutioning, practices, and delivery organizations to drive adoption and use of Microsoft Cloud technologies that enable us to transform our customers' infrastructure and application estates
  • Work across Kyndryl and Microsoft's partner ecosystem to generate differentiated value for our customers by combining the unique capabilities of Kyndryl + Microsoft + other ecosystem partners
  • Create compelling content, implement unique sales acceleration programs, conduct enablement (business and technical), and execute business development activities that help Kyndryl's go-to-market organizations accelerate pipeline growth and generate revenue

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in a business development or sales role for a cloud services company, systems integrator, or hyperscaler centric business plus, experience selling, consulting, solutioning, or designing cloud solutions for a global organization with industry diverse customers
  • Extensive knowledge of developer platforms and tools, application modernization techniques, and leading-edge development practices aimed at transforming legacy applications with Generative AI
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with the Microsoft Cloud for transformation projects, especially in areas like Azure Infrastructure, Azure Data & AI, Azure BizApps, Azure Security, Modern Workplace, and Dynamics.
  • Prior experience helping large enterprise customers or companies leverage the cloud or hybrid cloud to modernize their application estates - integrating with the cloud, transforming with the cloud, and moving off to the cloud
  • Existing relationships with Microsoft, such as global and regional executives, product/engineering teams, partner teams, and client executives
  • Highly effective, passionate, and charismatic communicator in both technical and business domains with a proven track record of driving growth through a global sales, partner, or alliances organization
  • Impeccable and engaging presentation skills for a variety of topics with an ability to adapt to a variety of different audiences and cultural backgrounds
  • Deep understanding of emerging trends, cloud technologies, cloud trends, and other areas with an applied understanding of how they can be adopted by companies undergoing business and digital transformation
  • Deep understanding of leading hyperscalers (Microsoft, AWS, Google), their related services portfolios and approaches for addressing the market, and competitive capabilities from other Global Service Integrators
  • Proven ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience designing, solutioning and selling transformational solutions to Fortune 500 companies where application transformation is a core element of their corporate or IT strategy
  • Active Microsoft Cloud certifications in areas like Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI, Azure Security, Azure Data, Azure Networking, etc.
  • Experience leading transformational sales programs and projects, driving gamification, and advancing large scale skilling initiatives
  • Business and technical enablement across global teams through 1:1 and 1:many sessions
  • Comfortable engaging with business leaders, technical leaders, marketing leaders, sales leaders, developers, and innovators

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $159,240 to $286,560 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $175,080 to $343,920

Colorado: $159,240 to $286,560

New York City: $191,040 to $343,920

Washington: $175,080 to $315,240

Washington DC: $175,080 to $315,240

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
