The Role

Application Services Solution Design & Architecture

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and efficient application solutions tailored to meet client business needs.
• Develop high-level architectural designs, including system integration, data flow, and user experience considerations.
• Define the overall solution architecture, including software, hardware, cloud, and third-party service integrations

Technical Leadership & Guidance

• Provide technical direction to development and delivery teams, ensuring alignment with the defined architecture.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for application design and development best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and developers on technical challenges, helping them to solve complex problems.

Requirements Analysis & Technical Specifications

• Collaborate with business stakeholders & Senior Application Services Consultant to gather and analyse functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
• Ensure that all technical requirements (e.g., performance, security, scalability, compliance) are met in the solution design

Solution Competitiveness & Value Differentiation

• Design solutions that leverage unique capabilities or specialized technologies to offer a competitive edge in the market.
• Collaborate with account teams to identify key value propositions that set the solution apart from competitors.
• Ensure solutions are cost-effective, while still providing innovation and unique functionalities that meet client needs in ways competitors cannot

Performance Optimization & Scalability

• Ensure that the application solution architecture supports performance, scalability, and high availability in line with business needs.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions for optimization, both in terms of code and infrastructure.
• Design solutions that can scale effectively as business demands increase, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining performance.

Technology Evaluation & Innovation

• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance the solution offering.
• Research industry trends and provide strategic insights on leveraging new technologies to improve application services.
• Champion innovation within the organization and propose new technological solutions that improve operational efficiency and business value.

We are looking for a Senior Application Architect to lead the design of advanced application modernization solutions and to support pre-sales engagements with our most strategic clients.

Required Skills & Experience

• Define reference architectures and transformation roadmaps for legacy modernization.
• Design and deliver solutions using microservices, APIs, containers (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker), and cloud-native services.
• Integrate AI and automation solutions: autonomous agents, LLMs, copilots, RPA, and predictive intelligence.
• Modernize integration platforms (API Management, ESB, Kafka, messaging) and data architectures (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric).
• Ensure every solution embeds security, observability, resilience, and high availability.
• Partner with sales and pre-sales teams on proposals, ROI/TCO analysis, and business cases.
• Act as technical lead in RFPs, workshops, and executive client presentations.
• Anticipate emerging technologies and align AI and automation trends to real business needs.
• Fluent English - excellent written and spoken communication.

Technical Skills

• Cloud Expertise: Azure, AWS, and GCP (compute, storage, serverless, managed databases, security).
• Legacy Environments: Mainframe (Cobol, Natural, DB2, CICS), monolithic systems, middleware.
• Modernization Practices: Microservices, APIs, containerization, DevSecOps, CI/CD.
• AI & Automation:
  
  
  • Design and integration of generative and predictive AI solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with agents, copilots, and AI frameworks (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, Watsonx, LangChain, RAG).
  • Embedding AI into modernization pipelines and observability frameworks.
• Integration & Data: API Management, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, GraphQL; database modernization and migration (Aurora, CosmosDB, BigQuery, PostgreSQL).
• Security & Reliability: Zero Trust, IAM, DR/BCP, high availability.

Preferred Certifications

• Cloud Architect (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• AI/ML Certifications (Microsoft AI Engineer, AWS ML Specialty, Google ML Engineer).
• TOGAF, Kubernetes or equivalent (a strong plus).
