The Role

The Cloud Capabilities Practitioner is the face of our expertise in solutioning, implementing, optimizing, and managing Cloud solutions - both public and private. The individual will drive technology partner recognition of our skills and capabilities through certifications and solution collaboration. Commensurate with seniority and expertise, be accountable for defining skills and learning paths for their peers and delivery teams across the consult and managed services continuum.

The Cloud Capabilities Practitioner will take a consultative approach to all stages of Cloud deal lifecycle from opportunity identification to successful customer onboarding while providing hands-on support, in person on client-site if appropriate, for all technical support across all of these stages including apply the personal experience and learning to create and update standard sales and offering collateral for all new capabilities.

This role has a minimum utilization target and a 25-40% travel requirement.

Some of the specific areas of focus/output are

  • Marketing: Participate in global, country, and alliance marketing programs as the subject matter expert in hyperscaler-specific approaches. Collaborate in defining joint GTM programs with our hyperscaler partners and support them in-country. Support campaigns and event as requested and funded by the countries.
  • Sales: Support account and country teams, through collaboration with the Cloud Win Center, to position the full portfolio of Kyndryl capabilities for differentiated presentation of joint Kyndryl and hyperscaler value; across Consult and Managed Services, for winning added scope and getting Cloud services into our accounts. Activities will include meeting with customer key stakeholders to build credibility as the trusted advisor, assisting with preparing proposals, conducting solution demonstrations, optimizing solution and cost cases, building scope of work (SOW), etc.
  • Account planning: Support accounts in planning for renewals, scope expansions, and new stakeholder acquisition by showing casing our Cloud expertise and assisting the accounts in building a proforma business-case or value-case.
  • Solutioning: Support the solutioning process with insights, hands-on assistance, and best practices to build winning solutions that leverage popular buying patterns and pre-optimizing deal shapes and staffing solutions
  • Delivery: Support the Consult or Transition team with onboarding of new customers or onto new services, assist in defining the transition activities or consulting engagements, and providing subject matter expertise as required to ensure high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Social Eminence: Collaborate with leadership on Proof-of-Value, strategy, vision, and whitepapers; drive programs for personal and peer social eminence that reinforce core messages through blogs, articles, interviews, and other marketing programs
  • Alliances: Bolster the practice relationship and joint capabilities with alliance partners, including hyperscalers and private equipment providers. Support the hyperscaler certifications by investing in individual certifications personally and managed services certifications as a team.
  • References: Provide white-glove treatment to early adopters to build customer references and nurture relationships to get permission for public testimonials.
  • Tactical collaboration: For all of the above activities, co-discover opportunities with the Sales and Offerings teams, co-solution with account and deal teams, co-create and co-deliver with account, country, and regional Delivery pods to early adopter customers.
  • Certifications: All individuals are expected to maintain at least 1 hyperscaler certification with the sophistication and count of the certifications, across providers, to be in alignment with their seniority.
  • Continuous improvement: For all of the above activities, create and maintain, standard collateral used for sales and solutioning enablement as well as deal management and customer onboarding as prescribed by the Greenhouse Offering process and Global GTM teams

Who You Are

You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused - someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in one of the following technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP, VMware, or Red Hat
  • Proven experience guiding customers through multi-cloud adoption, migration, modernization strategies, and operating model
  • Strong background in service management, policy governance, and spend optimization, including FinOps, HAM, and SAM practices
  • Skilled in designing and proposing innovative cloud-based solutions, including the development of Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Capable of defining structured learning paths to support team development and upskilling
  • Self-motivated with excellent business communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Certifications from two major hyperscalers, with expert-level accreditation in at least one
