We are seeking a driven and highly skilled Azure Architect with strong Azure technical experience and a solid understanding of Data Center technologies, Cloud Software, and interoperability. As an Azure Architect here at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, overseeing project lifecycles, and ensuring the effective use of Azure services.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Azure solutions that meet business needs, including cloud adoption plans and application design.
- Project Management: Oversee projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring technical execution aligns with best practices and organizational goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including developers and system administrators, to facilitate cloud migrations and optimize cloud management.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance during the development and deployment of Azure solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Security and Governance: Implement security measures and governance policies to protect cloud resources and data integrity.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and trends to enhance cloud solutions and drive innovation within the organization.
Additional Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and validate Azure Landing Zones following Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Actively build, configure, and optimize Azure resources for compute, storage, network, and identity services.
- Conduct hands-on implementation and automation of Azure environments using scripting and DevOps pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Azure infrastructure issues during deployment and post-go-live support.
- Ensure all designs and deployments are secure, compliant, scalable, and cost-efficient.
- Work closely with security, network, and development teams to ensure end-to-end integration of cloud services.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Azure Experience Required: 8+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years of hands-on Azure solution architecture and implementation experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with:
- Azure Compute: VMs, VM Scale Sets, App Services, Containers (AKS)
- Azure Storage: Blob, File, Premium Disks
- Networking: VNETs, NSGs, UDRs, Load Balancers, VPN, ExpressRoute
- Security & Governance: Azure AD, RBAC, Policies, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Azure services, cloud architecture, and design patterns, as well as experience with cloud migrations and infrastructure management.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) to automate tasks and manage Azure resources efficiently.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues effectively.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Relevant Microsoft - Azure certifications, such as the Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are desirable.
- 10+ years of Solid understanding of Data Center mainly Systems, Storage, Networking & Security, Application & Databases.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, Azure CLI
- Solid experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Ability to produce architecture documents and detailed build guides for implementation teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud governance, cost management, and security best practices.
- Comfortable working in agile teams and directly interfacing with clients and delivery teams.
- Track record of success involving Architecture, design, and execution of hands-on implementation of Azure-based solutions, including full workload migrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Please Note: The ideal candidate will be located or willing to relocate to Richmond, VA. However, the hiring team will consider applicants that are located more than 1 hour away from Richmond, willing to work "Remote" based from Home, that are also flexible to travel to the client site in Richmond, Virginia periodically.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $134,160 to $254,880 based on a full-time schedule.
Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
California:$147,600 to $305,880
Colorado: $134,160 to $254,880
New York City: $161,040 to $305,880
Washington: $147,600 to $280,320
Washington DC:$147,600 to $280,320
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
