The Role

Position Description

Kyndryl have established a global team to support country HR leaders to manage provision of Retirement programs and oversight of Retirement asset management vehicles. This team is part of the Total Rewards organisation and is responsible for the design and strategy of Retirement program offerings for Kyndryl globally as well as oversight of investment platforms.

The Retirement Professional role will involve supporting Retirement plans in the development and execution of investment policy, liquidity requirements and controls framework of their assets.

The Retirement Professional will also coordinate and monitor the Retirement Plan service providers including

  • Administrators and Actuaries.
  • Investment Managers
  • Various advisors such as Auditors & Lawyers

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of country retirement fund legal structure and local environment
  • Keep abreast of local regulations and legislation changes that might impact the plan.
  • Monitoring of service providers and reporting to key parties including sponsors and trustees.
  • Maintain a framework of appropriate oversight of key function holders of the Plan.
  • Facilitate the governance framework of the plan supporting trustee meetings, delegated committee meetings regulatory reporting.
  • Appropriate interaction between Company sponsor and Trustees
  • Exercise strong oversight environment in areas of contract management, bank accounts, reconciliations and expense management.

Who You Are

Skills Required

Managing Relationships.

  • Maintain and monitor relationships with Retirement fund managers, investment managers, custodians, Legal, Audit, Tax, Consultants and Actuaries.
  • Focal point for Retirement fund investment strategy and liquidity management
  • Facilitate key parties including sponsors and trustees meet governance requirements.
  • Strategic advisor to sponsor leadership, both local and corporate

Problem Solving and critical thinking

  • Change management and project management
  • Knowledge of industry agents and role of key function holders
  • Knowledge of Sponsor organisation and global mindset

Industry specific

  • Knowledge of financial and market operations and investment fund structures
  • Knowledge of Retirement Trust operations and reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of valuation techniques for retirement liabilities and assets as well as accounting treatment
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and governance requirements

General

  • Ability to work under pressure and with outside organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required: second language an advantage
  • Pro-active, well organized, and flexible self-starter.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills (Power Point and Access skills a plus);
  • Experience in a financial role or Treasury role in funds industry
  • Degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
