Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of modernization strategies for mainframe applications.
• Develop architectural solutions that integrate mainframe applications with cloud environments, leveraging AWS Mainframe Modernization service and other cloud-native services.
• Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for modernization approaches, including replatforming, refactoring, and rearchitecting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of modernization projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members and customers.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in mainframe modernization and cloud technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development and modernization.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing modernization strategies for mainframe applications.
• Prior hands-on experience working in a Mainframe environment.
• Expertise in mainframe technologies, architectures, and programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, and Java.
• Strong understanding of z/OS and IBM Software Products as well as 3rd party Mainframe software.
• Experience with AWS Mainframe Modernization service, Azure Skytap, Arcad Software suite, and/or other cloud-native services.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with previous experience in a client-facing role and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• AWS certification or equivalent cloud certification.
• Experience with modernization technologies from Micro Focus™, Astadia, Bluage, Cast, or RainCode.
• Knowledge of mainframe security practices and associated tools.
