The Role

At Kyndryl, we propose, build, and operate systems that support our daily lives.

In large-scale projects, you will engage in IT service management to ensure systems run smoothly, focusing on maintaining and improving quality.

• Develop transformation plans for each process and coordinate with clients to execute them
• Implement processes centered around change management and problem management
• Analyze root causes and support recovery during incidents

You may be assigned to the project described above, a similar project, or work concurrently on both.

[Work Environment]

• A hybrid work style combining on-site work at customer locations (in the Tokyo metropolitan area) and remote work from home. The balance may vary depending on project phases or incident response needs.

Who You Are

As the leader of the Distributed Infrastructure Team (Server Team), you will be responsible for understanding the customer's current operations and systems, creating transition plans, managing team progress, directing and overseeing deliverables, developing and managing quality control plans, facilitating various meetings, and instructing and reporting on documentation.

During the operations phase, you will also act as the system administrator, overseeing routine operations and incident response. Additionally, you will serve as a bridge between the offshore team (India) and local operations.

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as Linux, AIX, Windows, and VMware

[Preferred Skills and Experience]

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  (Training and certification support available after joining)
• ITIL certification
  (Training and certification support available after joining)
• Experience in IT service management
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese via email and meetings
