STR MGMT/ASSOCIATE STORE LEADER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist the store leader in the day-to-day operations of the store including training and developing effective store team members to achieve desired sales and EBITDA results. Responsible for the coaching and development of store team members. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in leading store teams in the planning, implementation and execution of merchandising and operation initiatives
- Work to identify opportunities in the store, develop timely solutions and create action plans to ensure implementation
- Achieve or exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets, as well as other targeted goals
- Drive cost effective sales working with the team to produce and maximize sales and profits, reduce shrink and improve each store's contribution
- Assist store leader in managing labor and supply costs on a daily basis to meet customer service and financial targets
- Understand and react to the competitive landscape within the district and store
- Demonstrate inclusionary leadership, expect inclusive behavior from team members, and support the efforts of the store manager, store, and area

- Promote and support strong relationships with local community organizations that the store serves
- Communicate all necessary information to store team members enabling them to effectively carry out their duties
- Assist store leader in store staffing, development, and reducing turnover
- Assist the store leader in completing performance reviews and coach the team on the performance of their duties
- Keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise; ensure team members and store location comply with laws and regulation applicable to the company
- Physical demands include, but are not limited to, standing up to 100% of the time, lifting an average of 50 lbs., pushing/pulling carts and skids, bending, twisting, squatting, turning, climbing on a ladder or stool, manual dexterity with both arms and legs, repetitive motion
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- Any of experience and satisfactory performance appraisals as an assistant manager or in another position within the same pay level or above
- Effective communication and reading skills
- Must be 21 years old
- Achieve a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills or knowledge in position or related areas
- Have successfully completed the applicable Store Leadership Development Program
Desired
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of retail experience
- 2+ years of experience as an assistant store manager
