JOB DESCRIPTION
Work collaboratively with field specialist and store teams in the execution of store sales plans. Execute the Corporate Deli/Bakery Merchandising strategies and plans for respective division. Ensure execution of and establish store accountability for sales plans for the Deli/Bakery department through frequent and timely store visits; encourage valuable feedback from store leadership, field specialist, and associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits. Address issues that hinder stores' ability to meet/exceed customers' expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, regulatory and food safety. Spend majority of time in stores to ensure Merchandising strategies and plan are executed with excellence. Coach and develop direct reports, and store teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies and maintain a supply of qualified, promotable individuals. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Communicate Deli/Bakery sales plans, department standards and inspired selling through regular communication calls
- Conduct frequent and timely store visits and encourage valuable feedback from store leadership, field specialists, and Deli/Bakery associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits, and improve shrink
- Work with field specialist to resolve store issues and remove barriers that prohibit the stores from implementing the budgeted Deli/Bakery department sales plan
- Review store orders for adjustments and work closely with the corporate departments to resolve product delivery issues
- Oversee the execution of the weekly sales plan providing feedback to corporate merchandising departments
- Understand the competitive landscape within the division and provide necessary feedback to corporate merchandising
- Collaborate with corporate merchandising on executing local seasonal and special merchandising programs
- Monitor the daily/weekly reports to identify any product cost or transportation charge corrections
- Work with field specialist in identifying department training needs and ensure the effective use of the training
- Communicate the corporate sales plan in execution meetings
- Ensure all store associates, store leadership and district managers have a complete understanding of all aspects and functions of the Deli/Bakery department and its alignment with the company strategy

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Any store management experience
- System and software knowledge
- Ability to manage and lead people
- Ability to establish priorities, consumer trends, project and react to business issues
Desired
- Bachelor's Degree related field
- 1 year or more of experience in Procurement (BAPC)
- Any experience as corporate Deli/Bakery coordinator, background in category management or procurement
- Any successful store leadership experience
