ASSISTANT DIVISION MERCHANDISER - RULER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work collaboratively with district and store teams in the execution of store sales plans. Partner with Corporate Merchandising to coordinate the Produce, Meat/Seafood, and Deli/Bakery Merchandising strategies and plans for the division, including achievement of all budgeted goals for each department. Create and ensure execution of divisional sales plan. Address issues that hinder stores' ability to meet or exceed customer's expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, pricing, regulatory and food safety. Coach and develop of direct reports, district, and stores teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and communicate Produce, Meat/Seafood, and Deli/Bakery sales plans
- Ensure execution of sales plans through frequent and timely store visits and encourage valuable feedback from team members, store leadership, and divisional leadership, that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits, and assist program development and evaluation
- Resolve store issues and remove barriers that prohibit the stores from implementing the Produce, Meat/Seafood, and Deli/Bakery department sales plans
- Review over/under delivery reports weekly to ensure proper inventory amounts within the division. Address any over/delivery opportunities as needed to avoid loss
- Achieve division sales budgets for Produce, Meat/Seafood, and Deli/Bakery
- Achieve division gross profit budgets for Produce, Meat/Seafood, and Deli/Bakery
- Create or modify and publish weekly sales notes
- Understand and react to the competitive landscape within the division and provide necessary feedback to all stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with General Office Merchandising to understand and support corporate sales initiatives appropriate for the division

- Work collaboratively with brokers and product representatives to achieve best cost and assortment for division
- Work collaboratively with all buyers to ensure proper inventory amounts within the division
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Any store management experience
- System and software knowledge
- Ability to manage and lead people
- Ability to establish priorities, anticipate consumer trends, project and react to business issues

- Bachelor's Degree

- Any experience as a successful store manager
