KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Business Tax Services practice.
Responsibilities:
  • Play a key role in developing the Strategic Corporate Business Tax Services practice, which provides federal tax compliance, income tax provision and tax consulting services to corporate and flowthrough entities while serving as a strategic partner to the Chief Tax Officer and other tax management personnel
  • Direct tax compliance and advisory services for partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations for a variety of clients from Fortune 100 to emerging businesses
  • Build, manage, direct, and monitor multiple client engagements teams while maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
  • Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm, including identifying and pursuing new clients and collaborating with KPMG's Audit and Advisory practices
  • Contribute to the growth, experience, and institutional knowledge of the Business Tax Services practice staff level team members
Qualifications:
  • Minimum ten years of recent corporate and partnership tax experience in a public accounting firm or industry taxation role
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and licensed CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent
  • Demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets
  • Experience leading multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
