Overview

Konica Minolta is looking for a Credit Specialist I to join the team on a full-time basis. The Credit Specialist I is responsible for assessing the credit worthiness of potential and existing customers, conducting thorough financial analysis, and making recommendation on credit limits. This role involves analyzing credit data, preparing reports, and collaborating with the Credit and Collections teams to ensure effective credit risk management.

The Credit Specialist is required to monitor all sales orders/service calls pending credit review to determine if customer is a credit risk or if credit management data requires update to avoid future delays in release.

This is a full-time position that will report to the corporate HQ in Ramsey NJ from Monday to Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers within the High Radius system where applicable.
  • Analyze credit reports, financial statements, payment history and other relevant data to determine credit limit.
  • Conduct details financial analysis within the High Radius AI system to ensure review of cash flow and trends.
  • Make recommendations on credit limits based on risk assessment and company policies.
  • Prepare credit approval to Credit Manager if required.
  • Monitor and review existing customer accounts to ensure ongoing creditworthiness.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of credit evaluations, approvals and changes.
  • Communicate with customers to gather necessary financial information and clarify credit related inquires.
  • Address and resolve credit-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the credit and collections teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of credit applications and collections.
  • Ensure JSOX Compliance and company policies in all credit related activities.
  • Responsible for overall Credit Master data, includes Credit controls; Risk Class, Check Rule, Credit line management and billable terms.
  • Review and analyze D&B reports; recent events, change in rating alerts, bankruptcy announcements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/ or Minimum 3 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis or related field
  • SAP, ECC, BOBJ and Excel skills preferred
  • Knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial analysis and credit management practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Abilities to prioritize needs in a face past environment
  • Critical times; month end/ quarter end/ Fiscal year end - must be available
