Overview
The AI Program Manager serves as the operational cornerstone for the company's AI governance and enablement strategy. Your responsibilities will include AI program governance, portfolio tracking, budget oversight, risk management, and cross-company initiatives to ensure AI deliverables have measurable value while complying with ethical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Program Governance: Oversee and lead the AI committee which is responsible for establishing enterprise-wide AI policies, risk controls, proof of value/concept initiatives, ROI assessments, and enablement and adoption roadmaps
- AI Portfolio Tracking: Manage the AI project portfolio (scope, milestones, dependencies, ROI targets). Publish KPI statuses covering adoption, performance, risk, and financials; highlight variances and propose corrective actions for AI adoption.
- Budget & Vendor Oversight: Monitor the annual AI budget against forecasts, partner with Procurement on RFPs, contract renewals, and vendor performance scorecards.
- Risk & Compliance: Responsible for managing the Responsible-AI policy, AI data-governance documents, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with Info Security and Legal teams for audit evidence and regulatory submissions
- Communications: Manage the AI company newsletter, quarterly town hall content, and internal communications related to AI. Own training content and sessions in collaboration with Learning & Development.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and standardization of AI tools, templates and workflows

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in program or portfolio management, preferably within technology, data, or AI-driven environments.
- Methodologies & Tools: Proficient with SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, BI tools, Jira/Confluence, and collaborative platforms (MS Teams, Figma).
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of AI/ML concepts, data governance principles, and emerging AI regulatory frameworks, trends, and use cases.
- Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented mindset with strong numeracy skills. Capable of building, interpreting, and presenting KPI and ROI metrics of AI adoption.
- Presentation Skills: Able to convey complex AI topics and program status in a clear, executive-level format suitable for C-suite audiences.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence VP+ level leaders and coordinate cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
- Preferred:
- Certifications in Program/Project Management: PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience supporting a corporate AI or data governance board/committee.
- Proven use of stage-gate and agile frameworks.
- Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks.
- Change-management certification (ADKAR/Prosci).
- Knowledgeable in cybersecurity, risk management, or enterprise architecture
