This role is based at our New York Design Office. You'll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
About the Role
In this role, you will support the execution of Kohl's social insights and engagement team by contributing to the paid and organic social campaigns that drive sales and traffic. You will also support influencer programming and brand activation for Kohl's.
What You'll Do
- Acts as a key resource for social industry trends, cultural analysis, competitive auditing and content measurement to consistently improve and iterate social media capabilities, messaging and content
- Keep a pulse on new and emerging trends and social media platforms, testing, learning, and experimenting in ways that feel authentic to the brand
- Leverage data storytelling to synthesize social conversation, content performance, and competitive/retail industry data to translate data into actionable and easily digestible reports
- Serve as an in-house social listening platform expert and resource, create and manage a social listening dashboard and collect and synthesize data collection
- Utilize social listening tools to build and analyze social conversation and news cycle to track relevant conversations, monitor consumer sentiment and identify emerging social and cultural trends to inform relevant content creation
- Track, monitor and thoughtfully report on social content performance and KPIs, wins and opportunities to continuously support creative content optimization
- Conduct competitive audits to analyze the industry landscape and identify consumer gaps and strategic recommendations to drive innovation
- Deliver always-on proactive community management to drive engagement with new and existing fans/followers across Kohl's owned and operated social platforms as well as brand platforms
- Monitor social landscape to identify and execute branded and personalized surprise and delight gifting opportunities to drive brand love across social media
- Support press, experiential, social content and influencer teams

What Skills You Have
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or other applicable area of study
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in social listening and social media reporting/monitoring
- Experienced social monitoring tool user (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Khoros, HootSuite, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Netbase, etc.)
- Understanding of the retail and/or corporate environment
Preferred
- Experience working with different social media spaces (Facebook, X/Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Threads)
- Ability to think strategically, creatively and outside of the box
Pay Range: $65,200.00 - $101,100.00
