You’ll leverage your expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop next-generation products that redefine the market and drive industry advancements. The successful candidate must combine strong technical skills, collaborative leadership, creativity and business acumen to bring products from the initial concept through to production.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering expertise - developing the next generation of products within Kohler’s Transformative Innovation Delivery department.
  • Own the technical development and successful delivery of 1-3 innovation product development projects.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, design mechanical components, and analyze designs for performance and feasibility.
  • Create requirements, development plans, test plans, and risk/issue mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Industrial Design, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to deliver the optimal balance of form, function, performance, and cost.
  • Build and test prototypes and production units to verify performance and quality.
  • Ensure new products meet all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.

Skills/Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.
  • 6+ years of product development and/or technology development engineering experience.
  • Experience designing parts for a range of manufacturing processes, such as plastic injection molding and metal stamping
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (preferably Creo)
  • Proven ability to design and develop complex mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of technology
