Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team. This role is critical in developing and optimizing complex 3- and 5-axis CNC programs using CREO and PowerMill CAM software, ensuring efficient, precise, and safe machining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operation, programming, and troubleshooting, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and optimize 3- and 5-axis CNC programs using CREO & PowerMill CAM software.
· Utilize Vericut software for collision detection and program verification.

· Operate and troubleshoot vertical and horizontal CNC mills, with a focus on 5-axis machining.
· Provide clear, concise instructions to associates for material preparation and machine setup.
· Perform on-machine CMM inspections using Renishaw probes and associated inspection software.
· Design and implement automated “lights-out” 5-axis CNC operations for increased efficiency.
· Use CREO CAD software to design parts and create accurate rough stock models for programming.
· Program and operate 3D printers, ensuring efficient and accurate additive manufacturing processes.
· Maintain and communicate updates to the CNC tooling library, including standard and special setup tools.
· Troubleshoot and resolve CNC mismatches and surface finish issues, ensuring high-quality output.
· Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills/Requirements
· Associate degree in a related engineering field or technical certification (ex. Tool & Die, etc.)
· 10+ years of experience in CNC programming and operation, with a strong emphasis on 5-axis machining.
· Proficient in CREO & PowerMill CAM software for multi-axis programming.
· Experience in Vericut for collision avoidance and simulation.
· Hands-on experience with CNC mill operation, including setup and troubleshooting.
· Strong understanding of CMM inspection techniques and Renishaw probing systems.
· Experience with automated CNC operations and “lights-out” manufacturing strategies.
· Working knowledge of CREO for CAD modeling and integration with CNC programming.
· Familiarity with 3D printing software and additive manufacturing workflows.
· Excellent communication skills for training and guiding team members.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of lean Fanuc 31i and Siemens 840D machine controls
