Opportunity
As a Production Supervisor II at Kohler Co., you will lead and manage daily operations within our WI Pottery (kitchen and bath ceramics). You will oversee a unionized workforce and ensure production targets are met while upholding Kohler’s commitment to safety, quality, innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability. This role fosters a culture of engagement, development, and accountability, ensuring team members are aligned with performance expectations and Kohler’s values.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across multiple ceramic product lines, but with a focus on Process A, that consists of: Manual and Pressure Cast, Slip and Glaze making, and mold making.
- Lead a unionized workforce, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and fostering positive labor relations.
- Promote a culture of employee engagement through regular communication, recognition, and feedback.
- Coach and develop team members to enhance skills, performance, and career growth.
- Hold team members accountable for meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Monitor and optimize workflow, labor utilization, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports for performance tracking and compliance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Support and drive improvements on equipment, processes and products.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Skills/Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably ceramics or heavy industrial.
- Experience managing a unionized workforce and understanding of labor relations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Exposure to heat, dust, and noise typical of a ceramics manufacturing environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, as needed.
