Materials Coordinator I
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: Onsite at Kohler, WI
Opportunity
Under the direction of Maintenance Stores supervision, utilize the functionality of SAP Plant Maintenance system to effectively manage Maintenance Repair and Operating supplies (MRO) inventories all while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Specific Responsibilities
- Analyze reports and vendor performance to determine the course of action which will optimize Maintenance and MRO inventories, make any necessary adjustments, corrections, or deletions to maintain highest level of customer service.
- Perform scheduled audits and analyze problems that appear, determine corrective action to ensure system accuracy. Perform inventory adjustments in accordance with corporate policy.
- Reconcile completed pick tickets. Coordinate material returns and exchanges with appropriate Maintenance personnel.
- Manage one or more MRP lists for WI campus, perform all duties associated.
- Manage your blocked list (overdue RFQ’s and overdue & blocked PO’s) and work with Accounts Payable & Vendors to resolve.
- Perform necessary functions to identify and monitor hazardous substances & chemicals ordered or stocked by Maintenance.
- Convert purchase requests into purchase orders, using SAP Plant Maintenance system.
- Verify information accuracy by checking descriptions, accounting, and work order information.
- Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance system to issue, change, check and monitor, purchase orders, purchase order history, invoicing, and service PO’s.
- Process “Return for Credit” request in the SAP Plant Maintenance computer system. Print necessary shipping orders and match up with parts for outbound shipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service for unplanned, unexpected, and emergency requests. Ensure customer orders arrive on time, make changes if necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision.
Skills/Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required. An associates’ degree in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management or equivalent is preferred.
- Candidate must have good: mathematics, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude or ability to determine what is being requested is desirable.
- Previous work experience in a computerized stockroom or warehouse is desirable.
- Must be customer focused in a very dynamic work environment.
