Join our team as a Product Manager focused on Subsidy Management activities that support our families receiving tuition assistance, where you will lead strategy, discovery, and execution of digital products that support subsidy enrollment, payment, and authorization workflows across our organization. You'll partner closely with Subsidy managers, Operations, IT, and engineering teams to modernize tools and processes used to manage complex and variable government and private program requirements.

You will own and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle—ensuring alignment to business goals, delivering seamless user experiences for internal teams and families, and supporting compliance with federal and state-level subsidy regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve the Subsidy product strategy, roadmap and backlog in alignment with business goals and regulatory needs.


  • Partner with subsidy & operations teams to understand core user workflows, pain points, and opportunities for automation.


  • Lead discovery efforts to define MVPs and long-term solutions for key problems, such as authorization processing, agency communication, and payment accuracy.


  • Translate business needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria and guide teams through refinement and development.


  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver iterative improvements in the subsidy tech stack.


  • Monitor industry and regulatory changes to ensure product compliance with subsidy program requirements.


  • Support change management efforts and field enablement for new tools or system enhancements.


  • Analyze and report on product outcomes, including impact on operational efficiency, payment timeliness, and family experience.


  • Serve as the product owner in Agile ceremonies and planning processes, ensuring backlog health and sprint readiness.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management or related roles, ideally in financial services, education, healthcare, or government services.


  • Ability to lead research initiatives both internally & externally to develop product ideation & discovery efforts that can be prioritized within your product roadmap


  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives that require financial regulatory complexity and operational scale.


  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, including working with operations, engineering, legal, and compliance.


  • Experience with process-heavy systems, such as case management, billing, eligibility processing, or document workflows.


  • Proven ability to decompose complex problems and deliver scalable, iterative solutions.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to use data to drive decisions and measure success.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and product development frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in launching internal tools used by customer support or field teams.


  • Experience with Fintech applications, complex government funding management, social services, or childcare operations.


  • Experience working in regulated environments or with state/federal reimbursement programs.
