Job Requirements:

Kimberly Clark is on a multi-year program to enhance supply chain efficiency, as part of this we are automating our warehouses with the state-of-the-art automation. The solution architect will play a key role in integrating our various platforms like SAP EWM, Blue Yonder WMS and a custom-built integration platform with the robotics vendor platform. The Solution Architect (SA) leads and delivers the analysis, design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and support for applications within a specified business process area. Performs leading-edge work and develops new approaches/solutions. This role is viewed as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise. Recognized subject matter expert. Delivers functional and technical leadership and can mentor others in the organization. May provide work direction / general guidance to other team members as a technical leader.

Scope/Categories:

Role will report to the IT Director (Logistics). Role will not have any direct reports. Key Interfaces: Business Partner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Enterprise Architect, Business Client External Interfaces: Consultant & 3rd Party provider Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Technical leader for the Warehouse Automation platform with accountability for technical design of multiple systems end to end.
  • As a Solution Architect, this person would be accountable for all key specifications/interfaces coming out of our WMS platforms (SAP EWM and BY WMS) and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure their reusability.
  • Drive new implementation of WMS solutions at our Mills and warehouses and will be accountable for technical upgrade's.
  • Ensure that all WMS solutions are designed and implemented by adhering to KC standards.
  • Will need to collaborate with other teams like MES, Enterprise Architecture, TMS and other business functions in designing solutions that integrate seamlessly with external systems.
  • Drive technology decisions at scale for Kimberly Clark
  • Proactive analysis of business processes and identification of innovative ways to address near term business needs which includes identifying these opportunities, reviewing, and obtaining a disposition decision from the appropriate business client, assessing the fit of these opportunities into current initiatives, or including the opportunity in future demand.
  • Works directly with Business resources and Business Analysts to drive technical solutions for business requirements.
  • Leads and drives multiple streams within IT and the business teams in coming to a common understanding of processes and technology solutions to support them.
  • Maintains in-depth understanding of technical landscape for their capability area.
  • Leads Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, consults and shares knowledge across org with full awareness of industry trends.

Key Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree; 10+ years of Professional experience of Information Technology experience including working directly with business clients.
  • Functional expertise in SAP EWM is required.
  • Knowledge or experience in BY WMS is preferred.
  • Good understanding of developing reusable interfaces.
  • Experience in SAP/S4 HANA is a plus.
  • Held prior accountabilities that required influencing leaders outside of administrative authority.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing people in offsite and remote locations.
  • Strong leadership and service delivery skills
  • Cultivates networking opportunities with peer organizations.
  • Broad range of business and IT experiences; Has achieved technical and/or business certification(s).
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.
