Portfolio Analytics Analyst

Overview

The Portfolio Analytics Analyst will provide analytical support to the Investments, Asset Management and Development teams by developing financial pro forma models, building financial waterfall models, and monthly/quarterly performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Create pro-forma cash flow models for new acquisitions, existing investments and new development projects for a variety of asset types like multifamily, condo, office and retail.
• Model complex joint venture structures via waterfall distribution analysis.
• Compile a quarterly summary of key portfolio metrics, maintain fund models, and create portfolio overview presentations.
• Support the team by analyzing data to prepare real estate valuations and provide portfolio-level forecasts for strategic review.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI Desktop
• Connect data sources including excel, SQL databases, SharePoint and cloud-based platforms.
• Assist the valuation process by reviewing discount rates, cash flow projections and cap rates across the portfolio.
• Assist in drafting investment committee memorandum and miscellaneous offering packages.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related Finance, Economics, or other quantitative discipline.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience building financial and waterfall models.
• Experience working in an environment that requires recurring deliverables as well as projects and initiatives in support of a rapidly growing business.
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage a diverse number of tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Experience with reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau, iLEVEL), and programming language (Python, SQL)
• Acquisition, Capital Markets, Asset Management and Development experience helpful
