Transactions Manager III

As a Custody Transactions Manager III in the Securities Vault, you will be responsible for including planning and overseeing custody operations, leading a team, and fostering a positive work culture. You will work within stringent time constraints and a high-volume, dynamic environment, ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance. You will be managing a department, implementing policies, directing team activities, and ensuring compliance and process improvements. Your role will be pivotal in driving performance standards, staff development, and strategic planning. You will collaborate across teams to deliver exceptional service and support long-term business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a major department, group, or operations function within the business, implementing operational policies and plans
- Direct overall team activities and monitor progress toward goals
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve service and system efficiency
- Manage resources and operating expenses to meet business objectives
- Facilitate client delivery relationships as needed
- Present business updates to senior managers
- Manage employees and/or managers, including performance appraisals and development plans
- Coordinate and direct operations of exempt and overtime-eligible employees
- Define and measure performance standards, foster staff development, and maintain a positive work environment
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures while seeking process improvements
- Resolve escalated complex customer issues and build collaborative relationships

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a financial services or operations environment
- Proven people management skills, including setting objectives and providing performance feedback
- Strong planning and budget management abilities
- Technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Independent decision-making capability
- Ability to develop creative solutions for complex issues
- Control-oriented mindset with experience implementing risk mitigation controls
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of management and staff
- Proven ability to motivate, develop, and retain talent
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience building high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of physical securities and vault processing
- Familiarity with collateral tracking and image repository systems
- Ability to handle employee and peer situations with professionalism and tact
- Demonstrated interpersonal and team-oriented skills
- Experience communicating with customers, peers, third parties, and other departments
- Ability to learn and explain detailed processes effectively
