Step into the pivotal role of Trading Services Specialist, where you'll drive the processing of market events for alternative financing and securities lending, ensuring seamless operations and impactful results.

As a Trading Services Specialist within the Securities Lending Asset Management (SLAM) team, you will offer essential back-office assistance to the trading desk, manage cash settlements, lending and investment trade support, along with client revenue processing. You should excel under pressure and deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and quick decision-making in unexpected situations, using sound judgment to act appropriately. You will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead are crucial. Solid mathematical skills are advantageous for calculating receivables and reconciling them with actuals.

Job responsibilities

  • Review and match counterparties' deals and collateral postings as directed by the trading desk
  • Coordinate daily mark-to-market of investment assets in our system
  • Match and resolve cash breaks with Counter parties and other issues as required
  • Lead and Identify innovation and process improvement opportunities
  • Work on special research/reconciliation type projects from time to time to derive efficiencies
  • Review and verify trade confirmations and release funds for cash reinvestment
  • Calculate accruals and allocate investment earnings across all investment portfolios

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3 + years of Financial Services experience and working knowledge of Securities, Lending, and Custody products
  • Demonstrates a robust ability to thrive in both team-oriented settings and independently
  • Possesses exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Exhibits proficiency in operating within dynamic, deadline-driven environments, with a keen ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Skilled in articulating complex scenarios, such as lending terms, investigations, and results, with clarity and precision
  • Adaptable to fast-paced work environments, maintaining efficiency and focus
  • Proven ability to manage and nurture relationships, both internally and externally
  • Displays excellent numeracy skills alongside superior written and verbal communication abilities
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of automation systems, including Alteryx, UI Path, Tableau, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Possess an acute awareness of the significant financial risks associated with operational errors and negligence

  • Ability to follow industry news and understand how this impacts daily processes and understanding of regulatory rules and controls
