DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop and implement strategies for allocating mortgage-backed securities within a portfolio. Analyze market conditions, interest rate movements, and other economic factors to optimize allocation decisions. Lead projects related to Mortgage Back Securities allocation, such as portfolio rebalancing, risk management initiatives, or implementing new trading strategies. Coordinate with various teams including traders, analysts, and compliance to ensure project milestones are met. Monitor and manage risks associated with Mortgage Back Securities portfolios, including interest rate risk, prepayment risk, and credit risk. Implement hedging strategies and adjustments based on risk assessments. Supervise and mentor junior associates or analysts in the with Mortgage Back Securities allocation team. Delegate tasks, provide guidance on complex analyses, and ensure team members adhere to best practices and compliance standards. Conduct performance reviews and career coaching. Evaluate the performance of with Mortgage Back Securities portfolios against benchmarks and targets. Prepare regular reports for senior management or clients on portfolio performance, strategy updates, and market outlook. Work closely with traders, portfolio managers, clients and other stakeholders to execute with Mortgage Back Securities allocation strategies effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Trading Services Associate, CPMO Senior Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: conducting financial analysis of mortgage- backed securities, including cash flow modeling, prepayment modeling, and sensitivity analysis; analyzing thousands of trades, performing statistical analysis, and developing models for risk assessment and portfolio optimization; understanding and avoiding various risks associated with Mortgage Back Securities, including interest rate risk, prepayment risk, and credit risk, and the ability to implement effective hedging strategies; lead initiatives related to with Mortgage Back Securities allocation, portfolio rebalancing, and risk management; presenting mortgage backed securities allocation guidelines to desk, senior management and clients; utilizing knowledge of the FINRA Regulatory Manual relevant to Mortgage Back Securities; financial modeling software including: Excel, Bloomberg, VBA, Tableau, UiPath, and trading platforms used for with Mortgage Back Securities analysis and trading.
