As a Reconciliations Team Leader within the Trade Lifecycle team, you will be providing support and guidance to members to achieve the objectives of the team.
You are responsible for training members and monitoring progress towards goals. You will act as verifier for reconciliations tasks including investigations for unrecognized transactions. Your role includes fostering communication and teamwork to drive resolution of exceptions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure completion of daily activities are timely.
- Drive resolution of exceptions and accountable for top quality exception management.
- Provide supervision to team members and monitor team competency.
- Identify and facilitate development of SME in the team.
- Leverage on knowledge to identify and implement improvements to processes in response to operational and business requirements.
- Draft & ensure SOPs are current.
- Encourage, participate & lead learning and development sessions.
- Support the team in Audit, Controls and Process reviews.
- Track and perform activities flawlessly while adhering to the regulatory norms and guidelines.
- Escalate issues timely and work closely with relevant parties to effect solutions and foster communication and teamwork.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Banking/Finance operations
- Good operational knowledge of Reconciliations or Custody / Markets business.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with peers, colleagues, and clients.
- Strong PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
- Flexibility to work on holidays / extended working hours on high volume days, if required
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree with accounting courses or equivalent work experience.
