Job responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents.
  • Support Line of Business application developing teams with Application SDLC and Infrastructure demands.
  • Engage with tools and operations teams to address failure patterns and incidents in Infrastructure Components such as OS and Storage systems
  • Develop automation tools for efficient, noiseless alerting, toil, and technical debt
  • Conduct performance tests, document and/or identify application optimizations.
  • Align and support regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of infrastructure architecture including distributed servers, storage, network, database and application components.
  • Extensive knowledge in administering, cisco data center/enterprise routers/switches, LAN/WAN networks
  • Extensive knowledge in administering, troubleshooting & upgrading Linux Redhat and Windows Server systems.
  • Knowledge in Site Reliability Engineering - Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational work.
  • Knowledge with backups and restore, SAN and NAS management, Virtual Infrastructure.
  • Experience in working with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Python, Bash, Powershell etc.
  • Working proficiency in Incident/Problem/Change management process and procedures.
  • Ability to host/participate in bridge calls and communicate effectively to large group of individuals at all levels.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends, automation tools and best practices.
  • Experience of working in Agile Methodology.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse environment
  • Fluent in English

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in using industry standard monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana etc.).
  • Certification in CCNA R&S, CCPN R&S, CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools. Build and Release skills using Jenkins, Maven, Git, etc.
  • Experience in Observability tools: Splunk, Grafana or similar.
  • Experience in Project management.
