As a Senior Technical Support at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Testing Program, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications. Your goal will be to provide an improved client experience across our payments products and you will be responsible for delivering tooling and frameworks for use in the client testing environment. You will be managing multiple feature teams staffed by software engineers and the role provides opportunities to work across the business lines with product, operations, and technology partners.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take direct accountability for end-to-end (E2E) Business flow and Regression testing, including the strategizing and development of Test Automation Solutions.
  • Deliver hands-on E2E automation across multiple applications using a diverse set of tools and technologies, with significant involvement in Test Planning, Strategizing, Designing, and Architecting.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, including the development of AI solutions to enhance the efficiency of delivery processes, while providing technical guidance to the user base.
  • Collaborate with global project team members and other groups to execute comprehensive end-to-end testing, ensuring deliverables meet agreed-upon schedules.
  • Ensure automation solutions align with business requirements in an agile environment, including ADA Testing and Automation.
  • Identify design or distribution-related issues through a deep understanding of architecture, and engage in Requirements Analysis, Gap Analysis, and Test Estimation.
  • Oversee project progress and tracking, define milestones and schedules, and facilitate Defect triage for projects.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Application Development, DevOps, and Production Support teams to ensure the overall test strategy is fit for purpose.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, determine mitigation plans, and escalate appropriately when required.
  • Actively participate in Feature Team stand-ups, code reviews, and other ceremonies, contributing to task completion and resolution of blockers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Product and Ops partners, and Strategic PMO, focusing on vision, strategy, and roadmaps, while fostering a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Highly experienced in working on large/medium sized projects ideally in Java EE with Payments Domain
  • Excellent Experience with Automated BDD using Selenium WebDriver & Cucumber, cross-browser and parallel test execution, APIs Testing using Rest Assured and Postman, Playwright
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced in one or more programming languages (Java / Python )
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.). Comfortable using GitHub , Copilot.
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Experience with microservices architecture on cloud
  • Highly skilled at problem solving, ability to scope and provide structure to complex issues, rapidly learn unfamiliar processes and provide insightful and timely remediation while ensuring clarity on the problem requiring resolution.
  • Excellent attention to detail so issues can be prevented and redundancies / opportunities highlighted.
  • Ability to keep sight of the overall context and remain centred on the strategic picture, identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and build out recommendation to proceed.
  • Ability to look across the program, with overall goal in sight, challenge by asking the right questions, and make connections across information to formulate actions required to deliver end result.

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree (with relevant experience) preferred.
  • Working experience in Payments business function technology capacity
