As System Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology organization you'll be diving into some exciting stuff!

We're building an internal app that helps our senior bank leaders prep and run board meetings, and it works with PDF documents. Plus, there's a huge buzz around adding AI features, and that's a big focus on our roadmap right now.

You'll be part of an agile team, creating cool tech products that are secure, stable, and scalable. You'll get to work with APIs and solutions in the collaboration space, including Microsoft 365 apps.

Job Responsibilities

  • Innovate and troubleshoot like a pro! Design and develop software solutions with a fresh, creative approach.

  • Be the architect of complex apps, ensuring your code meets all design standards.
  • Dig into large enterprise app code, get a handle on existing codebases to boost functionality, and build new services and APIs from scratch.
  • Turn data into insights! Analyze and visualize diverse data sets to enhance our software.
  • Automate recurring issues to boost software stability and performance.
  • Be a tech pioneer! Engage in communities and events exploring the latest technologies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Rock solid experience with AWS for developing and running cloud services.
  • Got formal training or certification in software engineering? Even better!
  • Hands-on experience in system design, app development, testing, and keeping things stable.
  • Java/Spring pro? We want you!
  • Skilled in coding, debugging, and maintaining in a big corporate setting with modern languages and databases.
  • Know the ins and outs of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong grasp of architecture, design, and business processes.
  • Agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security are your jam.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across multiple teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Got front-end chops with ReactJS for web apps? Awesome!
  • Dabbled in mobile app development? That's a plus!
  • Familiar with DevOps principles and practices? You're speaking our language!
  • Experience using AI models to tackle complex problems? Even better!
  • Skilled in writing prompts and integrating AI into existing app code? We definitely want to hear from you!
