We are seeking talented candidates with a top-tier strategy consulting or technology strategy background for the position of Vice President in our Public Cloud Transformation Office. Sponsored by executives from both the business and technology, the team is dedicated to accelerating Public Cloud enablement and adoption, with a focus on strategic execution and driving business value. Given the importance of the transformation, as part of this role you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our most senior leaders across JP Morgan Chase.

Job responsibilities

As a Strategy Manager in the Transformation Office, you will work with the junior and senior team on solving complex problems, framing strategy decisions and unblocking execution issues critical to achieving the key strategic technology priorities of the firm:

  • Own day-to-day management and delivery of one of more areas of the Transformation Office, prioritizing your book of work together with your manager against key milestones
  • Design and drive solutions to accelerate decision making, scope problems, identify major issues and actionable opportunities, and quantify potential bottom-line financial impact
  • Develop work plans to test/ evaluate strategies and insights and deliver the goals of the Transformation Office
  • Develop deep, trust-based advisor relationships with key client stakeholders in management, Global Technology and the Lines of Business (LoBs) to drive delivery and achieve organizational alignment and buy-in
  • Lead and support interviews, working sessions, and presentations, driving towards business outcomes
  • Work with your team to build frameworks, content, hypothesis sets, analyses, and roadmaps for solutions
  • Identify implications and "so whats" of outputs, data and analysis
  • Own development of concise communication materials for senior management
  • Identify potential roadblocks/ obstacles and escalate issues as needed
  • Develop junior team members both formally and informally, including serving as a mentor

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant consulting experience with a top-tier strategy/ management consulting firm, an internal consulting/ corporate strategy/ transformation/ strategic execution team, or a top-tier technology strategy firm in a client facing role, including some years of managerial experience motivating and leading junior team members
  • Strong client management and executive-level communication skills (both oral and written), as well as strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to deliver impact across cross-functional teams and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • Entrepreneurial drive and proactivity to identify opportunities to increase business value
  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical and qualitative tools to develop solutions
  • Significant experience with PowerPoint for executive-level documents and Excel based models for analysis

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent organizational MBA or an advanced degree from a top-tier program
  • Experience and fluency in enterprise IT management concepts, as well as technical knowledge in cloud or IT infrastructure
  • Financial services background and/ or Cloud experience
