As a Strategic Events Manager, on the Innovation Economy team, you will lead the creation and execution of strategic event marketing programs that align with J.P. Morgan's business goals. Your focus will be on enhancing brand awareness and fostering client engagement through innovative events and sponsorships. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful client experiences, manage budgets, and analyse event success to drive continuous improvement. Your role will be pivotal in positioning J.P. Morgan as a leader in the Innovation Economy, catering to the needs of founders, investors, startups, and high-growth companies.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement events and sponsorships aligned with business initiatives.
- Enhance brand awareness and client engagement through strategic events.
- Provide guidance and execution support to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate across multiple business lines to coordinate shared opportunities.
- Manage and coach strategic event associates, ensuring timely project development.
- Coordinate client event agendas and negotiate sponsorship contracts.
- Partner with marketing and communications teams to maximize event reach.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance for contract approval.
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate new opportunities.
- Lead pre-event planning and post-event analysis for effectiveness and ROI.
- Manage and track detailed budgets, securing approvals and documenting variance

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Experience in marketing/communications, events or sponsorships.
- Excellent project management and time management skills; proven ability to partner and lead a range of stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated track record of partnering with a range of stakeholders and thriving in fast-paced, matrixed environment with minimal supervision. Team player that is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, effective under pressure and flexible (able to adapt to changing priorities).
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate data-driven insights and measurement into actionable next steps.
- Strong desire to creatively problem solve; proven ability to navigate / analyse complex data.
- Operate with a sense of personal accountability; strong work ethic; high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent/advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Financial service or management consulting experience; working in a large global organisation.
- Experience managing event and sponsorships for founders, investors, startups and high-growth companies.
- Track record of driving innovation by challenging convention and identifying opportunities to develop unique, competitive sales and events/sponsorship programs.
