Strategic Analytics - Senior Associate

As a Strategic Analytics Associate, you'll work with the risk team to generate thoughtful analytics and recommendations to the business concerning strategy development, implementation, operational controls, and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced macroeconomic analytics to identify, quantify, and monitor trends and risks impacting consumers and small businesses, utilizing diverse data sources and analytical methods.
- Analyze macroeconomic releases and deliver insights and perspectives specifically tailored to the needs of CCB Risk leadership.
- Deliver regular, high-impact reports and presentations to CCB Risk leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Conduct independent research on emerging risks relevant to consumers and small businesses, proactively addressing new challenges and opportunities. Align analytics and reporting with key business lines-including Consumer Bank, Credit Card, Auto, Home Lending, and Business Banking-to ensure insights are relevant and valuable across the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in risk and finance to provide timely, accurate risk reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical tools to support ongoing risk assessment and business planning.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and best practices in risk analytics to continuously enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications:
- MS degree and 3 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience preferred
- Otherwise, BS degree and minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience required
- Background in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field required
- Advanced understanding of Python, Tableau, or other tools to generate reports and visualizations
- Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
- Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience delivering recommendations to management
