As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Workforce Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Produces and maintains architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Review Oracle release notes quarterly and conduct impact analysis.
  • Design, optimize, and deliver solutions using the SaaS Oracle Human Capital Management application.
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Ensure security and release processes are followed to reduce risk.
  • Meet design deliverables and execution deadlines with consistent follow-through and independent work.
  • Leads functional testing of enhancements to minimize defects, quickly problem-solve, and identify root causes.
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Strong experience configuring one or more modules of Oracle HCM Cloud
  • Provide clear and concise communication and respond in a timely manner
  • Quickly problem-solve and identify root causes
  • Leadership experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Oracle HCM Cloud Certified implementation Professional in one or more modules
  • Experience with Oracle OTBI, APIs and HDL/HSDL
  • Experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio
  • Experience with ServiceNow
