As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Core Data Platforms, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and career development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategies with business objectives.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of SPLUNK environments, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Manage the integration of CRIBL for data routing and processing, optimizing data flow and transformation processes.
- Oversee the deployment and management of Uber Agent for monitoring and analytics, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure, implementing best practices for infrastructure management.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for IT operations and data analytics, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to analyze complex data and systems, anticipating issues and mitigating risks.
- Drive results and implement multiple complex programs, executing work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied
- Extensive experience with Python, SPLUNK, CRIBL, and Uber Agent.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations, with deep technical knowledge across multiple domains.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
- Adept in specific infrastructure technology and programming languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with budget management and cost optimization strategies in IT projects.
- Strong background in automation and continuous delivery methods, with a focus on enhancing system performance and resilience.
- Certifications such as Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect
