Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Participate in the hiring process and mentor junior associates. Build messaging platform using FIX Trading protocol. Debug production issues using Dynatrace, SBA and Splunk. Analyze user metrics using Grafana. Build user interfaces with Reactive framework - web sockets, SSE, Webflux. Incorporate CI/CD tools - Harness, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Maven for continuous development and releases. Build microservices in on- prem and public cloud using Kafka, MQ, Pivotal and AWS services. Adhere to Agile project delivery model and ceremonies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or in a related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Java Developer, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant, or a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Planning, designing, developing, testing, and documenting application software; Applying application architecture disciplines, data architecture disciplines, and infrastructure architecture disciplines; Utilizing technologies such as servlets, JDBC, Linux, and Agile SDLC; Using interface development with tools such as JSP, JQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, React and Redux; Managing databases with SQL and Oracle; Developing microservices and working with Apache Kafka and UMQ; Creating RESTful services and working with JSON; Using build tools such as Maven and Jenkins for Continuous Integration; Deploying applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry and AWS Cloud Services; Managing container orchestration with Kubernetes; Monitoring and performing analysis with Dynatrace and Splunk; Version control using GIT; Conducting automated testing, functional testing and unit testing with tools such as Cucumber, Mockito and Junit; and Utilizing tools such as Cypress, Selenium for performance testing, regression testing and system integration testing and Implementing solutions using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring and Hibernate.
