Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, SQL BI Developer, Jasper Developer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful web services using Java, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, JSON; Building Cloud native Microservices using AWS services such as Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), Route 53, AWS Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch for deploying and managing applications; Building and manage CI/CD pipelines using Maven, Jenkins and Spinnaker for continuous integration and deployment; Managing source code and version control using GIT; Utilizing Hibernate ORM framework for efficient database management and object-relational mapping in the applications; Writing and maintaining unit tests using JUnit to ensure code quality; Automate API testing using the Karate Test Automation tool; Developing and executing Performance testing strategies to ensure application scalability and reliability; Creating observability and monitoring dashboards using Splunk to ensure system health and performance; and Developing application business rules using Decision Modelling Notation (DMN) with Signavio Decision Modeler.
