DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or in a related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Project Manager, Software Developer or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Using Unix systems for managing complex server environments and optimizing performance in UNIX shell scripts; Utilizing Windows operating systems to support enterprise-level software applications; Leading Agile SDLC processes to drive efficient and collaborative software development in 2 weeks sprint frequency; Designing and implementing data architecture strategies that support scalable and robust data solutions; Architecting and leading the development of microservices to enhance system modularity and scalability; Using J2EE for developing and managing large-scale, enterprise Java applications; Configuring and optimizing Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and delivery; Leveraging the Spring framework to build and maintain high-performance Java applications; Utilizing Hibernate for efficient data access and management in complex applications; Using Java programming for developing robust, high- performance software solutions; Using Python for data engineering tasks and developing versatile software applications; Utilizing shell scripting to automate and streamline system operations and processes; Use SQL for designing, querying, and optimizing complex relational databases; Designing and implementing RESTful services to facilitate seamless integration and communication between systems; Using AWS Cloud Services for architecting and managing scalable cloud-based solutions; Utilizing Google Cloud Platform for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure and services; Leading the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality; Conducting and analyzing performance tests to optimize application speed and scalability; Using unit testing to ensure the reliability and functionality of software components; Coordinating user acceptance testing to validate software against business requirements; Using AWS S3 for managing scalable storage solutions and data lifecycle; and Designing and managing data lakes to support centralized data storage and analytics capabilities.

Full-Time. Salary: $190,000-$215,000 per year.
