Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study plus Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, IT Consultant, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience in the following: Designing and developing software applications and web applications using technologies including Java, SQL and JavaScript. This position requires four (4) years of experience in the following: Developing software applications using Java frameworks including Spring; Performing data manipulation, data structuring and query optimization using database technologies including SQL and Oracle; Building REST microservices using Java and Spring Boot; Integrating and deploying applications with CI/CD tools including Jenkins; and Automated testing frameworks and tools using Selenium. This position requires three (3) years of experience in the following: Building and maintaining software applications using version control systems including Git and build tools including Maven; Logging and monitoring tools including Splunk; and Writing Unit tests using Junit and TestNG. This position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: Building and deploying software applications over cloud platforms including AWS Cloud Services; and Writing scripts using JMeter to perform performance testing, functional testing, and load testing of web applications.
