As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Chase Travel, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Must have working experience in developing web applications using Angular
- Must have working experience in developing web applications using state management framework like Redux, Flux.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions, provide necessary thought leadership to the team members.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Expert knowledge of front-end development technologies, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap & SASS, Google Analytics.
- Experience in building responsive applications with frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation Code Quality Tools, like LINT, SonarQube etc.
- TDD Implementation using Jasmine, Karma, Jest etc.
- Build Tools, like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack (minimum one).
- Conceptual knowledge of server-side JS like NodeJS and database system, like Mongo.
- Web Services integration, using AJAX, knowledge of concepts like REST.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility.
- Experience in developing Web components and Custom Elements.
- Experience working in multi-lingual site using Internationalization/Globalization.
- Knowledge of CI-CD Process.
