As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology , you will design and implement database solutions to support KYC project requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and ensure data integrity. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design and implement database solutions to support project requirements.
- Develop and maintain database schemas, indexes, and queries.
- Collaborate with software developers and data analysts to translate project requirements into database solutions.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies.
- Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture and processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience with Oracle and MongoDB Database administration and development.
- Expertise in MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, aggregation, and replication.
- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience with data modeling and database architecture for large-scale applications.
- Knowledge of data security and encryption techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions, including AWS services such as Amazon RDS, EC2, and S3.
- Proven experience as an Oracle/MongoDB Engineer or similar role.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience with database migration projects, particularly migrating data between Oracle and MongoDB.
- Experience with load testing and performance optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of data compression techniques and advanced database functions.
- Familiarity with KYC processes and regulatory requirements.
