As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Post Trade Technology group as a part of Corporate and Investment Bank, you will be an experienced member of an agile team dedicated to designing and developing leading market products in a secure, scalable, and stable manner. This role is highly hands-on, involving participation in the entire engineering process from ideation through implementation to delivery, while collaborating with business partners and team management. You will utilize real-time multi-processing technologies within a highly critical application framework. We are Margin and Collateral Services (MACS) and are responsible for managing collateral across various business and product streams in the bank, including over-the-counter derivatives, prime brokerage, global clearing, fixed income, equities, and exchange-traded creation and redemption.

We are MACS (Margin and Collateral Services) part of Post Trade Technology group within CIB. We are responsible for managing Collateral across various business and product streams in the Bank such as OTC Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Global Clearing, Fixed Income, Equities ETC creation and redemption.
Job Responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyses, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience
- Experience in developing professional solutions using Java / Spring Boot ecosystem
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, multi-threading, testing, and operational stability
- Expert level knowledge on various integration patterns and frameworks using JMS, Kafka, etc.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies and engineering discipline such as CI/CD, BDD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience writing / debugging stored procedures, UNIX shell / python scripting
- Professional experience with any NoSQL DB (Cassandra, Mongo DB, etc.)
- Experience on Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); professional certifications would be plus
